How to hide a tongue piercing/advice/questions..?

okay okay i know im gonna get alot of sh!t for asking this but oh well. im getting my tongue pierced in a week around . im 16, i have my nose, industrial and 3 on each earlobe. i want to know any ways of hiding it. im gonna show my parents once its all healed up. i also want to know how badly it hurts, and how do i keep the swelling down so i could talk normally? thanks to all who answered
