What can happen if you get hit with a discus?

I got hit in the arm by a discus...I was not very far from the girl that threw it so i would say a foot and a half maybe closer it instantly swelled and there is this huge bruise it hurts when I flex or anytime but especially when i move my arm areas around my arm hurt my shoulder blades elbow wrist and fingers i got hit about an inch and a half from my elbow i would like to know if i could be fractured and it hurts like nothing you could imagine i ice it and it just happened on May 2nd ( the discus was metal and wood it weighs 1K( what ever that means) once again i wasn't very far from her maybe a foot and a half maybe closer and it hurts i told my track coach he said most likely it is not broken he said nothing about a fracture) pleas help!!!!!!!!!!!
