As a rule of thumb every Discus fish need 10 gallon of water. Is it US gallon or UK gallon.?

I would suggest keeping discus in groups of no less than 6, unless keeping proven pairs. With your tank size a minimum of 2x weekly 50% or larger water changes will be necessary to keep them healthy.
