Can I add a pair of dwarf gouriami's to my tank?

I have a tank with some tetras two young discus, and two bala shark. Would it be ok to add a pair of dwarf gouriami's? Would they fight with any of my other fish? Would any of my other fish be aggressive towards the gouriami's? Also any suggestions on other fish that would do well in my tank( 36 gallon). Thanks!
