I am Epileptic and have a question... HELP PLEASE!!!!?

I have been epileptic since I was 6 years old. I have Grandmaul Seizures (which are the worst), but I ONLY have them in my sleep every 3 to 6 months. But within the past year I have started biting my tongue when I have one.... HARD but only on one side of my tongue (depending on what side I am laying on)! I just had a seizure about 2 weeks ago and my tongue is just now starting to heal. My whole tongue swells up and sometimes I wake up with blood on my pillow. Every time I have a seizure I seem to bite it harder and harder. I have been using Chloriseptic (the stuff that makes a sore throat numb) to numb the side that hurts. Which seems to work... For about 10 minutes. How can I prevent this (if there is any way)?
