How long does a DSI battary supposed to last for fully charged?

I just got a DSI friday and I fully charged it because when I got it it was red. Yet not even two hours later after I fully charged it it's at red....Is the battary only supposed to last that long? -.-; cuz if not im going back to the pawn shop and getting my money back
