I have a 93 gallon tank with lots of fish. Two of my discuses paired up and laid eggs.?

I took the rock with the eggs and put it in a big clean bucket. threw the heater in it including the sponge filter. the daddy was eating most of the eggs so i just threw the mom in the bucket along with the fifteen eggs left. so far, what have I done right and wrong and do I stand a chance? what should I do from here on?
